BIOGRAPHY

Rietenbach is a professor of Foundation Studies, Fine Arts, and Graduate Studies at Columbus College of Art & Design, where he teaches two-dimensional design, sculpture, and the fine arts junior seminar. He has served as visiting artist coordinator and chair of Foundation Studies, and he is currently the director of student exhibitions. His large-scale installation work has earned him several individual artist grants from the Ohio Arts Council and the Greater Columbus Arts Council, including GCAC’s Dresden Residency. Gigantic, his 100-foot-long sculpture of a human skeleton, is permanently installed at COSI Columbus. He holds a BFA from CCAD and an MFA from The Ohio State University.
